The Co-Founders of SEI created the institute as an educational foundation because of a shared desire to bring the highest standard of credibility and evidence-based analysis to the overall public space discussion and to share our individual and collective knowledge and experience with students, space professionals, enthusiasts and policy makers. We believe a multidisciplinary quantitative approach to analysis is the best method to examine salient aspects of complex aerospace ideas, programs, issues, challenges and problems. The Co-Founders have seventy-four years of direct cumulative professional aerospace experience, including fifty-four years at NASA, and eighty-two years in consulting and academia.
